How did the pioneers going west cross the rivers with the wagon?

I’m not sure I fully understand your question, but they had to find some shallow water that wasn’t moving all that fast, in order to be able to cross with their animals. They would also tie everything down and waterproof the wagon. Then the animal(s) would pull the wagon across.
