Assembly lines led to cheaper products, a decreased need for skilled workers, and fast paced work.

Assembly lines made work easier and unthinking. Education or skills were not important for the work making unskilled laborers in high demand. Goods became cheaper so more people could afford products like clothing, appliances, cars, and prepared foods.
