During the process of conduction, two objects come into contact. These two objects have the characteristic of being at different temperatures. In this case, heat moves from the object with higher temperature to the object with lower temperature up to the point in which both objects reach the same temperature.

Thus, the collision of molecules is the cause of the movement of heat in the process of conduction.
