The function and the first value stated for x are confusing.

Doing some research, I found that the problem is to evaluate the function   [tex]f(x)=4.7^x [/tex]    for x = - 1 and x  2.

The solution is:

1) For x = - 1

[tex]f(-1)=4. 7^{-1} =4. (1/7)=4/7 [/tex]

2) For x = 2

[tex]f(2)=4.7^2=4(49)=196[/tex]
