How did the outcome of the war affect the Federalist Party's efforts to change the Constitution?

The outcome of the War of 1812 had a very negative effect on the federalist party's efforts to change the Constitution since the Federalists had been against the war, which in fact turned out to be very popular among "patriots" in the United States.
