Difference between scavenger and carnivore?

Yeah, most people get confused on this question.

Scavenger - They eat dead animals. EX: Hawk
Carnivore- Kills and eats animals. EX: Lion
Decomposer- De-composes dead material and gives it to soil for nutrients. EX: Fungi
