The equation of a parabola is given. y=34x2−6x+15

What are the coordinates of the vertex of the parabola?

the x coordinate of the vertex = -b/2a  = -(-6) / 2*34  = 0.08824

y coordinate = 34(0.08824^2 - 6(0.08824) + 15 =  14.735

so its (0.088, 14.735)     correct to 3 decimal places
