Say you have 100/100 if you simplify that, you could get 10/10 or 1/1 which is 1. So basically, one tenth is only 10% of 1, and 100, is 1% of 1. Say, the whole is 100 right? So one tenth of that would be 10. And a hundredth of that would be 1.
