An important benefit of freedom of the press is the freedom to publish what they want ( within reason) this means that without that freedom they wouldn’t be able to put out information that maybe in important to the public or seen as controversial by the government. This also helps with biased as the press which influences the public isn’t forced to side with a party/ government- and has the freedom to speak on there opinions and views. ( hope this helps)!
