Answer:

(6.5, 14)

Step-by-step explanation:

(I am assuming you meant to put 4x-3=9 and 2x+6=5)

THIS WILL NOT GET YOU A SOLUTION FOR AN EQUATION JUST INTERCEPTS

move terms to one side:

0=4x-3-9

0=2x+6-5

Simplify and change 0 to y:

y=4x-12

y=2x+1

Substitute one equation for y:

2x+1=4x-12

move constant terms to one side:

2x+13=4x

Subtract 2x from 4x:

2x=13

x=6.5

Solve for y with one equation:

y=4(6.5)-12

y=26-12

y=14

(6.5, 14)
