Simple,

You have 11 [tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex]

to change it into an improper fraction multiply the whole number (11) by the denominator (8)

11*8=88

Then, add the numerator to what you have multiplied..

88+5=93

Finally, use the original denominator....
