How was English Parliament in the 18th Century an example of bicameral legislative branch?

In the 18th Century the English Parliament was an example of bicameral legislative branch through the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The Parliament was formed in 1707 after the the "Acts of Union" were ratified by both England and Scotland, thus creating the new unified Kingdom of Great Britain.
