What is the measure of an angle that is eight times its supplement?

Supplementary angles = 180°

Givens
Let the supplement = x
Let the original angle = 8x

Formula
x + 8x = 180°

Solve
9x = 180°  Divide by 9
x = 180/9
x = 20

Answer
The original angle = 8*20 = 160°
The Supplement = 20°
