Remark
All you need do is add the two points  together and divide by 2.

[tex] \frac{6+ 3i - 12 - 5i }{2} [/tex]

Group the like terms.

[tex] \frac{6-12 + 3i-5i}{2} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{-6-2i }{2} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{-6\div 2-2i\div2}{1}[/tex]
